Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Officer

Madison County Bank is seeking to hire a full-time BSA/AML Officer who will oversee all aspects of the community bank’s BSA/AML program.  We are seeking an individual who has a strong attention to detail, can communicate effectively, and is experienced in BSA compliance. You will work closely with the bank’s management team to develop a strong culture of BSA awareness throughout the bank. You will oversee all aspects of the bank’s BSA protocols while managing compliance with all federal and state Anti-Money Laundering laws. Primary Responsibilities:
• Oversee the bank’s compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act
• Responsible for maintaining the bank’s AML, Fraud and OFAC programs Oversee the bank’s compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act
• Responsible for maintaining the bank’s AML, Fraud and OFAC programs while supporting customer-focused banking services
• Coordinate appropriate transaction monitoring to ensure compliance with all BSA/AML reporting appropriate for the bank’s risk profile 
• Provide training to all bank staff on BSA provisions and responsibilities 
• Evaluate and monitor transactions to ensure proper documentation and compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act 
• Advise the Board of Directors and bank management regularly on the status of BSA compliance 
• Ensure proper and timely processing of all BSA reporting requirements
• Coordinate internal reviews and external BSA/AML audits

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field preferred
• 5-year’s banking experience or 2-year’s BSA/AML experience preferred

Skills and Competencies:
• Ability to communicate professionally through both written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to organize, multi-task, plan and set priorities to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from directors, bank management, staff and customers
• Thorough recordkeeping ability, detail-oriented, problem solving attributes
• Ability to effectively manage the confidentiality of sensitive information
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
